INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS/TUTORSWe would like to invite you to join the EDO as a student/tutor member.

WHY DID WE START THE EDO?We formed our organisation to hold lectures and talks to continue our own professional development and to network with other designers. But at the very first meeting we all wanted to give something back to students. Why? Because we’ve all had a great time in our careers designing our magazines/newspapers and websites. And to be a bit selfish – as it’s in our own interest to help you learn as much as you can as a potential employee.

WHAT DO WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE?We hope to hold three to five debates about editorial design.

WHAT ARE WE DOING FOR STUDENTS AND COLLEGE TUTORS?As a student or tutor member, you will be able to attend our lectures/debates. Ticket numbers may be limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.We will hold portfolio sessions for students where a practising designer will help you polish up your book ready for trying to gain work experience or your first job. We will have an e-mail mentoring system where you can ask for advice about a college project. Maybe send a pdf to an allocated practising designer of your work, for comments.
